What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide quality customer service to internal staff and external patients
- Manage incoming calls by taking ownership and responding to patient requests
- Schedule appointments and electronically transmit messages to the clinical team
- Address questions regarding medication refills and other inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality while demonstrating proficient data entry skills and knowledge of insurance billing
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Associate's Degree
- Experience in a call center or busy phone system
- Strong customer service experience with excellent verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask and possess problem-solving and critical thinking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in electronic appointment scheduling
- Familiarity with health care services and patient-centered medical home concepts
- Previous work in a federally qualified health center or similar environment
