  Canada Finance Lead – Elida Beauty

  Your Role & Responsibilities

  The Elida Beauty Canada business is a >€40m in revenue with a clear market-leading position in the cotton swabs category with the Q-tips brand and competitive portfolios in Skin Care, Hair Care and Skin Cleansing through St Ives, Pond’s and Alberto European. It is currently the third largest country in terms of revenue for Elida Beauty Globally and one of the geographies where the largest growth is expected.

  As Finance Lead for the country, you will take ownership of both the Controlling and Commercial Finance agenda acting in a CFO capacity for the market and a key member of the Canadian leadership team.

  This role has full end-to-end accountability for Finance in Canada. Finance operations are expected to be delivered and governed between the local Canada finance manager and the Elida Beauty North America Finance Team sitting in the US. The role also includes statutory reporting, tax, insurance, company administration, and legal requirements in Canada. Partnering with the Commercial Canadian Team, the finance manager provides finance leadership and support for the delivery of both short-term results as well as the long-term growth ambition for the Canadian operation.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Finance operations and Risk Management –

  • Implementation of ERP and Controls Framework across the newly established Legal Entity.

  • Full accountability for operations and controls of key finance processes; order to cash, procure to pay, record to report for the Canadian Business. Performed through a combination of internal Elida Beauty Team in Canada and US and 3P Partners.

  • Oversee of Tax compliance and reporting with support of 3P Partner

  • Risk Management and operationalization of Controls Framework for the Canada Business.

  • Work Together with the Elida Beauty NA Controller and Global Controller to drive process and control Excellence.

  Driving business performance

  • Partner the Canada Commercial Team to deliver in year financial targets (Sales Growth, GM% UOM%)

  • Lead regular business reviews with North American business leaders.

  • Understand key performance drivers and frame investment choices.

  • Perform analysis of actual results to forecast and advise NA Leadership Team of proactive actions to ensure that the team achieves its targets and is positioned to achieve its long-term strategic goals.

  • Works together with the Elida Beauty NA Commercial Finance Lead to support on Financial Planning duties such as monthly Forecast, Annual Planning or Multi-Annual strategic financial planning to ensure the Canada commercial team is fully supported in terms of Data and Analytics.

  Local statutory requirements – this role is a legal Company Director, taking the lead on company administration matters on behalf of the board.

  Work Level 2B: Pay: The pay range for this position is $104,800 to $157,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible. Benefits: Unilever employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.
