      Translated is looking for an experienced Canadian French Language Expert to collaborate directly with one of our top enterprise clients. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring linguistic excellence and localization quality across all products. You will serve as a linguistic and localization expert for the client’s local teams to craft strategies that foster business growth and ensure products and services resonate with local audiences..

      Your responsibilities will include the following:

      • Perform in-context Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA) on major projects, such as homepages, marketing emails, and new product pages, ensuring linguistic and contextual accuracy.
      • Maintain close collaboration with Translated’s Language Leads and provide actionable feedback to continuously improve translation quality.
      • Work with the Translated Language Lead to maintain and update reference materials (Style Guide, Glossaries), ensuring alignment with the client’s brand and market strategy.
      • Collaborate with the client’s local teams to provide localization support for market-specific initiatives (e.g., sales collateral, marketing events) and act as a cultural and linguistic consultant for Canadian French.
      • Proactively offer feedback and linguistic guidance to cross-functional teams to support the client's growth and success in the Canadian French market.
      • Partner with Translated’s Quality Management Team to monitor and uphold the quality standards defined by the client.
      • Participate in regular meetings with the Global Localization Team to report on initiatives, share insights, and review KPIs relevant to your locale.

      Basic requirements

      • Native proficiency in Canadian French, with an excellent command of English.
      • Proven experience in localization, translation, or linguistic quality management for enterprise-level projects.
      • Strong attention to detail, cultural awareness, and understanding of linguistic nuances specific to Canadian French.
      • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
      • Proven ability to take initiative and drive results, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
      • Familiarity with localization tools and content management systems is a plus.

      • This is an external contracting position (freelance)
      • Part-time position (30+ hrs per week)
      • Remote position (covering the Montreal timezone)
      • The contractor's agreement includes Bank Holidays + 15 days of paid time off
