  Northern California Management, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is looking for an experienced Car Buyer to join our team and help deliver extraordinary customer experiences.

The Car Buyer evaluates, appraises, and purchases vehicles at other car dealerships, credit unions, and auto auctions both in person and online to successfully stock the dealership.

  Pay for this position is $72k annually, plus bonus opportunities.

  • Ability to purchase sufficient inventory to meet goals
  • Ability to travel to events and auctions to purchase inventory
  • Ability to purchase inventory online
  • Ability to understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that impact retail automotive sales

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions
  • Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures

  Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  Works evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required

  Required Education and Experience
  Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent; and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one year experience in retail automotive sales or wholesale automotive sales.

  Preferred Education and Experience
  Bachelor's degree (B.S or B.A) or equivalent; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one year experience working in the new or used sales department of a dealership or in a wholesale program or at an auto auction company.

  Valid Driver's License
