What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide technical assistance to correctional facility administrators and healthcare providers on Medicaid services
- Lead training sessions on Medicaid eligibility, pre-release service delivery, and care coordination
- Develop user-friendly resources such as checklists and training materials
- Collaborate with state Medicaid representatives and community organizations to enhance reentry care models
- Monitor implementation progress and provide strategic recommendations for overcoming barriers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in public health, criminal justice, healthcare administration, social work, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with correctional systems or justice-involved populations
- Experience in developing cross-sector implementation tools and protocols
- Proven ability to provide training and technical assistance to diverse stakeholders
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for regional travel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of Medicaid transformation efforts involving justice-involved individuals
- Familiarity with behavioral health and substance use treatment models in correctional settings
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and navigate complex systems
