      Gulfport Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility):

      Gulfport Behavioral Health System, is a 90-bed psychiatric hospital offering child, adolescent, adult and military service behavioral health programs and treatment services.

      Position Summary:

      $1500 Sign On Bonus! Join the Utilization Review Team as Case Manager who contacts external case managers/managed care organizations for certification and recertification of insurance benefits, and assists the treatment team in understanding the insurance company’s requirements for continued stay and discharge planning. In addition, the Case Manager is responsible for having a thorough understanding of the patient’s treatment through communication with the treatment team, advocates for the patient’s access to services during treatment team meetings and through individual physician contact.


      Qualifications

      Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health,or related degree; or AS/BS degree from accredited college or university in nursing.


      Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare setting or managed care company, with experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, utilization management, and/or case management preferred.


      Licensure: Current RN required; LMSW, LPC, or other healthcare related licensure in Mississippi preferred.
