Job Description

Coordinate and support product development and assortment activities of the Category Team that align to category strategy, contribute to driving traffic, sales and margin, and adhere to safety, quality and regulatory standards
Execute purchase activities and opportunities in accordance with approved product plans and strategy
Support effective communications to all support teams relating to product and provide stores with relevant information needed to assist with purchasing decisions and quantification
Produce and complete sku and assortment related information as per the timelines detailed in the Buying or Planogram Calendar to minimize disruptions
Conduct and complete product related activities to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Support strategic marketing activities for all commodities to ensure marketing objectives are accurately met
Business, Management, or Equivalent
1-3 years related experience (Grocery retail an asset)
Ability to problem solve and make adjustment on simple issues
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Understanding of retail mathematics related to sales, profitability/ inventory
Great communicator, verbally and in writing
Time management, organization and prioritization skills required
Love for product and passion for the Giant Tiger Customer
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
Post Secondary Education in Business Administration or related field
Bilingual English and French
Financial acumen
