Develop sourcing strategies for specific packaging categories, collaborating with Global Category and Sites teams to deliver agreed savings targets and other benefits that significantly impact Haleon financial results , additionally deliver key business requirements across assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service and innovation
Understand the impact and alignment of global and regional strategies on local markets.
C ontinuous improvement of process & performance within the category and supply base
Be the regional expert in the spend categories within scope of responsibility
Utilize benchmarking, market intelligence, and best practices to challenge the status quo strategically.
Lead complex sourcing projects and supplier negotiations.
Serve as the global procurement expert for a range of packaging categories.
Ensure Haleon’s sustainability objectives are met
Execute strategies collaboratively to achieve benefits in quality, service, cost, and innovation.
Work closely with finance stakeholders to meet Haleon's financial goals.
Discover innovative value creation methods, such as value engineering and lean techniques.
Manage benefits according to the Procurement Plan and Savings Methodology.
Implement initiatives to enhance the quality and reduce lead times of materials
Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply security, such as de-risking and dual sourcing.
Develop relationships with senior stakeholders in Quality & Supply Chain to create and implement procurement strategies, agree RACIs / DAI and business requirements
Collaborate with Finance & Legal to meet Haleon's financial, commercial, and legal goals.
Represent Procurement as a Business Partner, leading initiatives like monthly reviews and QBRs.
Develop good understanding of Haleon brands
Manage the supply base for the categories and suppliers through strong performance management.
Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive value and mitigate risks, using cost control, simplification, complexity reduction and KPIs.
Oversee contract planning, negotiation, execution and maintenance with regional suppliers.
Support the capability development of colleagues across the function
Provide day-to-day guidance to sub-team members
Take charge of one’s own development
Develop and share best practice across the team
University Degree, ideally within Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or related subject
Proven negotiation and contract management skills
Good problem-solving skills to address issues/blockage, awareness of risks, support implementation and robustly forecast spend and savings
Ability to think strategically to build relationships (with stakeholders and suppliers) and to create sourcing plans
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – fluent English
Direct materials category procurement experience across multiple sites and/or countries
Ability to manage senior stakeholders
Good understanding of financial principles and reporting
Track record of delivery and proven ability to drive change
Ability to influence in a matrix organization
Experience in leading high-level negotiations for long term and/or multi-countries high value contracts
Resilient and persistent with the ability to make the right decisions

Role Overview
Global Procurement is a key component of Haleon's operating model, driving value for the company and its consumers. Our model emphasizes scale, expertise, and a business-first mindset through global category, cross-BU, and strategy & delivery teams.
The Manager, Packaging Procurement role within EMEA Procurement leads procurement for a range of packaging categories supplied to Haleon and CMO sites across EMEA, by creating and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies.
The role involves collaboration with Global Category, Site Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to manage supply, quality, innovation, and savings. Successful candidates will partner with suppliers to manage risk and ensure supply continuity, creating value for Haleon .
