      We are seeking a Category Manager to join our team. This position will work directly with the National Accounts team with a focus on leading the team in developing insights, finding opportunities, and communicating recommendations to lead future growth. This individual will help drive creative selling stories, channel strategies, and lead/advance internal reporting capabilities for the Sales team and Executive leadership team. Data tools include syndicated scan and shopper panel metrics (Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, and retailer scan/loyalty data including Kroger 84.51°). We are searching for someone who is passionate about Athletic Brewing and always pushes themselves and others to reach higher.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Synthesize learnings from various sources (shopper data, scan data, custom research) to create clear and impactful selling stories in a visually appealing manner using PowerPoint/Google Slides
      • Build positive relationship with retailers as trusted Category advisor by proactively seeking opportunities and communicating actionable solutions
      • Pro-actively identify and communicate market level opportunities using standard weekly dashboarding
      • Provide space allocation and assortment recommendations
      • Create, maintain, and communicate all standardized reporting for the NAM team; update and maintain the pitch decks and presentations; create and generate monthly IRI/Nielsen reports
      • Consult with NAM team to provide data driven proposals and key insights to improve account development
      • Lead and advance internal reporting solutions for the sales team, allowing for efficient and impactful analysis of syndicated data
      • Lead and present category reviews to provide an in-depth understanding of category performance, opportunities, and changing shopper behaviors
      • Analyze and recommend display and promotional optimization opportunities
      • Sales tracking/reporting to ensure execution of POG placements & display activity
      • Maintain accurate account data in VIP
      • Oversee and maintain our data subscriptions
      • Other duties as assigned

      Skills and Experience:

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
      • A minimum of 5+ years of relatable experience in consumer goods, retail, or syndicated data with a focus on Category Management, Shopper Insights, or business analytics
      • Strong familiarity with syndicated data, software, and measures (IRI, Nielsen, etc.)
      • Strong familiarity with shopper panel information data, software and measures (IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Retailer Loyalty data, etc.)
      • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) skills including pivot tables, slicers, and formulas to automate and contribute to reporting
      • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides) preferred
      • Ability to understand information, develop insights and see opportunities when analyzing large data sets
      • Ability to translate findings and recommendations into a concise and effective selling story
      • Ability to expertly present insights, opportunities, and recommendations to internal or external partners in a persuasive manner
      • Strong planning/organization; the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, rapid growth, start-up environment
      • Excellent analytical, communication, detail orientation and organizational skills

      Job Details:

      • Location: Remote, must be within a commutable distance to a major U.S. airport. Closer to San Diego, CA / Milford, CT Breweries preferred.
      • Salary: $90,000–$120,000 (commensurate with experience)
        • Base salary plus performance-based bonus opportunities.
        • Eligible for the vehicle reimbursement program.

      Physical Demands:

      • May sit/stand for several hours at a time.
      • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
