      THE ROLE

      The Special Events Catering Manager is an experienced leader who has a passion for organizing and delivering special events that exceed guest expectations. They are a problem-solver that focuses on attention to detail. The Special Events Catering Manager is based at AT&T Stadium- Home of the Dallas Cowboys.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

      • Serve as the main point of contact for Legends Hospitality for planning and executing social, corporate, trade shows, galas, and internal Dallas Cowboys catered events.
      • Properly communicate with supporting departments including Culinary, Operations, Engineering, Warehouse, IT, Guests Services, Security and Other Departments based on the scope and needs for Special Events.
      • Manage event day load-in, overall execution, event strike and load-out.
      • Creates estimate of costs, banquet event orders, event space diagrams for review and presentation.
      • Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all staff engage guests to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
      • Develop customized menus to meet the diverse needs of social and corporate clientele.
      • Partner with the culinary team to review clients’ expectations including menu development, tastings and communicating service standards.
      • Communicate with event sales and stadium planning teams to ensure events are executed as planned with clients.
      • Oversee rentals and client vendors including building management COI required for all events. Vendors to include, floral, décor, entertainment, and audio visual/sound.
      • Creates event orders, diagrams, estimate of charges and invoices for events assigned.
      • Ensure the smooth operation of all catering functions.
      • Experience with high volume event planning for events from 500 – 2000 guests.
      • Stay up to date with industry trends and implement innovative menu concepts.
      • Experience in planning plated, buffet and reception events, including fine dining service.
      • Working knowledge of on-site catering.
      • Attend weekly BEO meetings and stadium event operations meetings.
      • Serve as the financial liaison for Catering & Special Events by requesting PO’s, ensuring payment is received based on the contracted dates and/or Legends catering policy. Review and submit vendor invoices to finance department for payment post event

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

      Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends & ASM policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

      • Bachelor’s Degree, Hospitality Management degree preferred
      • Minimum of 3 years of experience preferable in premium services and catering for a
        sports or entertainment venue.
      • Minimum of 2 years in a catering manager role
      • Two (2) years of experience in a high-volume catering venue

      SKILLS AND ABILITIES

      • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments on behalf of the catering team
      • Must be able to take direction, perform essential functions and delegate responsibilities
      • Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with clients and planning team
      • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task
        and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment
      • Knowledge of Underboeck and Visio a plus
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Dropbox, Google Sheets
      • Must be customer service oriented with the ability to communicate with employees,
        vendors, client representatives and guests in a positive and professional manner
      • Must have excellent knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards,
        guest relations and etiquette
      • Must possess strong organizational skills
      • Willingness to work long hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends,
        game days and holidays
      • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and event space conversions
      • Requires occasional lifting of up to (25) pounds in weight (boxes & equipment), standing
        and/or walking for long periods at a time
