      Job Description:

      Job Summary

      Responsible for monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes in UK Athletics through daily contact, communicating with professors, and checking class attendance. Additional duties include monitoring study hall, scheduling tutor appointments, and assisting with administrative projects assigned by academic counselors. The role requires efficient organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a dedicated approach to student-athlete success.

      Essential Functions
      • Track and evaluate the daily academic progress of assigned student-athletes through consistent, routine check-ins and contact.
      • Monitor class attendance and verify academic standing across active course rosters.
      • Liaise directly with professors and instructional staff to gather academic feedback and track performance trends.
      • Supervise and monitor designated study hall environments to ensure a productive, focused, and professional atmosphere.
      • Enforce study hall guidelines, track attendance, and report behavioral or compliance infractions to academic counselors.
      • Coordinate and set tutor appointments for student-athletes based on specific curriculum requirements and academic needs.
      • Assist academic counselors with special projects, reporting tasks, and resource preparation.
      • Maintain organized digital and physical records of student progress metrics, schedules, and attendance logs.
      • Provide general administrative assistance to the CATS Support Services team as needed.
      • Communicate effectively and professionally with student-athletes, coaching staff, faculty, and UKAA personnel.
      • Uphold institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations regarding student privacy (FERPA) and academic integrity.
      • Ability to work, 29 hours a week from August 3, 2026 through May 15, 2027 with various shifts days, evenings, and weekends.

      Education Requirement

      High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree or Master's in education, student development, psychology, business administration or sports management, preferred.

      Experience Requirement

      An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

      All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

      Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.

      Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

      Physical Demands

      This position requires regular sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; performing tasks with regular repetitive motions (such as typing); intermittent standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; and occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds or standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds.
