      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct initial and follow-up concurrent reviews of medical records to ensure accurate documentation of patient acuity and care levels
      - Collaborate with coding, HIM, and UR departments to maintain accurate patient records
      - Identify and document co-morbidities and complications during chart reviews
      - Develop strong relationships with providers to clarify and enhance documentation
      - Provide education to physicians on the importance of complete documentation and key concepts

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Graduate from an approved school of nursing
      - RN Licensure from FL or a Multistate Nursing Licensure
      - Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting
      - Two (2) years of experience as a clinical documentation improvement specialist
      - Thorough knowledge of ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM/PCS, APR DRG, and MS DRG

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Certification as a Certified Documentation Specialist (CCDS), Clinical Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
      - Extensive clinical knowledge and understanding of pathology/physiology demonstrated through clinical experience
