- Maintains production goals
- Audits and analyzes clinical documentation to ensure compliance and looks for opportunities for improvement.
- Review analytics and advises providers on interpretation and/or validation of data; recommends solutions to meet objectives.
- Provides timely correspondence with providers regarding clinical documentation opportunities and queries.
- Keeps abreast of regulatory changes related to documentation, coding and communicates these changes to appropriate staff.
- Identifies trends through data analysis or chart review, reviewing existing policy for accuracy and developing new policies, as necessary.
- Applies mandated regulatory, documentation and coding guidelines to documentation
- Demonstrates proficiency with all areas of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding. Category II codes, auditing, and education.
- Identifies potential opportunities based on claims and medical record data to ensure the accurate reporting of the severity of the patient's condition.
- Experience working remotely with proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet goals and deadlines
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- CDIP, CCDS, CDEO credentials, required
- RN, LPN credentials, required
- 3+ years' experience as CDI specialist, required
- RHIA/RHIT, CPC, CRC, CCS, CCS-P, preferred
- 3+ years' experience in HCC Coding, preferred
- Must have proficiency using a PC in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Electronic Medical Records
- Experience communicating & working closely with Physicians
- Experience in Medicare programs and regulations including fraud and abuse and Risk Adjustment

Position: CDI Specialist
The Monogram Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) will bring to the role a strong understanding of clinical documentation, coding, and risk adjustment requirements. The CDI Specialist will be a part of a team of clinical documentation improvement specialists to ensure each encounter represents accurate and complete documentation of the patient's health status. Responsibilities include coordinating and performing day-to-day operations to include team-based work, education, training, productivity, work assignments. Facilitates and promotes standardization across the enterprise and ensures alignment of high-quality documentation that supports a compliant and accurate representation of the clinical care provided to patients.
