Job Description
- Req#: 87224
- Marine Coordination responsible for managing all vessel movements to/from and within the windfarm. Maintaining a log of personnel and vessel locations and tracking. And maintain sea surveillance and offshore weather monitoring and reporting.
- Perform communication with offshore parties by means of marine VHF, TETRA UHF and satellite phone communications.
- Act as an Operational Controller under Wind Turbine Safety Rules. Responsible for release of plant to work parties and maintaining compliance with WTSRs on site.
- Act as Plant Operator under RWE Operational (HV) Safety Rules. Responsible for release of plant to work parties. Auditing returned documents from work parties and maintaining compliance with HV Rules on site. Carry out emergency HV switching.
- Act as Incident Controller in line with the Sites Emergency Response Plans, coordinating/liaising with the emergency services as required during any incidents.
- Responding to Grid Commands/BOA’s to maintain grid compliance for the site. Conducting REMIT reporting.
- Entering production data into EDL (Electronic Despatch and Loading) for generation forecasting of the windfarm.
- Entering work notifications in the MMS Maintenance Management System for emerging work on faulted equipment.
- Proactively monitor the Wind Turbine and HV SCADA systems, and responsible for 1st Level resets of alarms on SCADA, or raising notifications in MMS for planning and rectification of faults not reset.
- Produce daily, weekly, monthly performance reports.
- Experience in a similar control room, marine coordination role or technician/mariner background.
- Knowledge and experience of safety rules systems both Wind Turbine and High Voltage Safety Rules.
- Preferred experience with VHF/TETRA marine radio communications.

- Have the capacity to maintain a demanding and fluctuating workload.
- IT literate. Familiar with Microsoft packages.
- Possess an international mindset.
- High ability to work as part of a diverse team and develop future best practices.
- edge and experience of renewable energy or generation asset operations.
- Knowledge of the wind industry would be a benefit but not necessary as training will be provided.
- Effective communication skills.
- Works well under pressure in a busy office environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours as we operate the wind farms 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
- Knowledge and experience of electronic maintenance management systems.
- Knowledge of the British Electricity Trading and Transmission Arrangements (BETTA).

To support the ongoing growth of RWEs fleet of offshore windfarms RWE Offshore Operations will create a new Central Control Room team. The team will deliver a wide range of Control Room services to offshore windfarms across the RWE fleet.
The Central Control Room is a 24/7 Command and Control function for RWE Windfarms. The Operators are responsible for managing the following activities across multiple UK Offshore windfarms. This is a safety critical role within the Central Control Room Organisation.
