What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist patients in navigating healthcare programs and using necessary equipment
- Accurately document patient information and program eligibility in electronic health records (EHR)
- Monitor enrollment applications and communicate with patients and stakeholders
- Provide clear explanations of healthcare programs to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to facilitate patient enrollment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Active certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion in patient interactions
- Effective organizational skills to manage multiple patient enrollments and meet deadlines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to quickly learn new software applications
- Previous experience in a healthcare-related role
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and reporting
