What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist nurses by performing basic care activities essential for patient comfort and needs
- Dress, groom, bathe, feed, and record vital signs of patients
- Respond to call lights, assist with toileting, oral care, and transport patients as needed
- Provide simple or uncomplicated patient care while maintaining hygiene standards
- Administer medication as directed by a Physician or Nurse and document accordingly
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record as defined by agency policy
- Certification as a CNA or Home Health Care Aide, if required by state licensure
- Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or 6 months of recent experience as an aide
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and performing various physical tasks
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in home health care or similar settings
- Additional certifications in patient care or related fields
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Familiarity with patient care technologies or documentation systems
