      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Collect, manage, and analyze patient data for the Cancer Institute and various registries
      - Generate reports and maintain accuracy in data collection for quality metrics
      - Supervise abstracting duties performed by non-certified colleagues
      - Conduct monthly reporting of abstracted cancer cases to relevant registries
      - Communicate with medical and administrative staff to support cancer program activities

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associate degree in health information management or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
      - Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) certification with the National Cancer Registrar Association (NCRA) required at the time of hire
      - Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or related quality/coding certification preferred
      - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in data management
      - Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Previous experience in oncology data management or related healthcare data roles
      - Familiarity with Commission on Cancer quality metrics and reporting standards
      - Knowledge of statistical analysis and reporting tools
      - Experience coordinating cancer conferences or similar events
      - Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
