What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and coordinate electronic data files with hospital departments to ensure accurate billing of missed charges
- Assist in the maintenance and validation of the charge master file and process related projects
- Audit revenue reports for charge accuracy and coordinate charge corrections with hospital departments
- Review and update departmental charge capture procedures and perform random audits for compliance
- Create and submit quarterly reports on missed revenue and corrective actions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- If a Bachelor's degree: Three (3) years of experience in a hospital setting with knowledge of Medicare billing
- If an Associate's degree: Seven (7) years of experience in a hospital setting with knowledge of Medicare billing
- If a High School diploma or GED: Eleven (11) years of experience in a hospital setting with knowledge of Medicare billing
- Experience interpreting government regulations related to healthcare billing

- Experience with charge master maintenance in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
