What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with Charge Review Coordinators to monitor charge capture functions across all entities
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient charges and verify correct usage of procedure and diagnosis codes
- Identify and resolve charge discrepancies and provide support on charge-related inquiries
- Prepare and present reports on charge review findings, highlighting compliance risks and areas for improvement
- Monitor key performance indicators related to charge capture accuracy and create action plans as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a hospital setting, healthcare industry, revenue cycle, or coding
- High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of certification and experience accepted
- Applicable professional certification (AHIMA, RN, LPN, AAPC, or Epic Certified)
- Advanced knowledge of revenue cycle processes and hospital/medical billing
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, Health Information, or a related field
- EPIC HB/PB experience
