Description
The Chicago Showroom Manager & Design Specialist will help bring our workspace and furniture solutions to life. This role combines showroom leadership, client experience, and design support, including creating layouts and specifications using CET (Configura) and other industry tools.
As the face of the showroom, you will manage daily operations, coordinate client visits and events, and support the sales team & customers with accurate visualizations, quotes, and product selections. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys design, organization, and creating exceptional customer experiences while collaborating across teams.
Requirements
SHOWROOM LEADERSHIP & CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Serve as the primary host of the showroom, creating a welcoming & professional environment for clients and team members
Manage daily showroom operations, including opening/closing procedures and maintaining a clean, organized space
Coordinate and host client visits, tours, meetings, and presentations
Partner with the sales team to prepare meeting spaces and support client engagements
Coordinate catering and hospitality services for meetings and events
Assist guests with general concierge needs and maintain inventory of marketing materials for client meetings
DESIGN & SPECIFICATION COORDINATOR
Create accurate customer quotes, layouts, and visualizations using CET (Configura)
Assist customers and sales teams in selecting products that meet functional, aesthetic, and budget needs
Review specifications to ensure accuracy of product selections, configurations, and pricing
Provide product guidance and collaborate with engineering on special requests or detailed product information
Support sales teams with project coordination and specification development
Assist with preparation of drawings, product information, and design recommendations for proposals
Manage assigned projects from initiation through completion, ensuring accuracy, timely execution, and alignment with customer expectations
Effectively manage individual workflow and project queue to meet customer deadlines and internal service expectationsAbout the company
