      About The Position

      The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) provide strategic direction to the Orlando regional operational leadership and site Human Resources teams to attract, develop and retain top talent. The CHRO is responsible for developing and implementing engagement and retention strategies in alignment with system strategies that drive business outcomes and supports organizational growth.

      Essential Functions
      • Partner with business leaders to support and champion forward and proactive thinking in achieving optimal outcomes related to talent and organizational effectiveness.
      • Collaborate with corporate and regional leadership to establish people and culture strategy and goals that align with business strategy to drive business outcomes. Lead regional people strategy in partnership with regional and site leadership ensuring alignment to system strategy.
      • Direct and develop regional initiatives to drive team member engagement and retention in partnership with site Human Resources and regional leadership. Establish key metrics and set goals to assess regional and site recruitment and retention performance.
      • Direct and establish workforce planning and development initiatives to effectively meet regional growth strategy.
      • Manage talent pipeline and facilitate succession planning to effectively engage top talent and promote internal growth.
      • Oversee performance management programs and processes to drive regional and system performance.
      • Advise, coach and consult executive leadership on business strategy and people initiatives to drive business results.
      • Direct and develop regional employee relations strategy to minimize employee relations matters and mitigate organizational risk.
      • Direct and execute the corporate human resources process regionally and in partnership with site leadership including recruitment, compensation, development and engagement in partnership with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Talent Development and Engagement & Retention to drive the attract, develop, retain strategy.
      • Establish and maintain strong relationships with members of the regional executive and site administrative team to develop awareness of business challenges and objectives to implement a proactive business partner approach to Human Resources.
      • Manage fiscal requirements of department; prepare annual budgets and meet expense expectations within budget.
      • Oversee consistent and appropriate interpretation, evaluation and application of Orlando Health and human resources policies and procedures that support fair and equitable treatment of team members.
      • Promote ongoing team member communication and recognition through a variety of communications vehicles to promote a positive and productive work environment.
      • Align with peer regional human resources AVPs and directors to identify challenges in the environment, opportunities and/or adverse trends that require intervention as appropriate.
      • Evaluate region and Human Resources department performance and identify process improvement.
      • Select, onboard, develop, assess and engage regional Human Resources top talent. Set expectations, provide resources and ensure needs of the site Human Resources teams are met.
      • Direct assimilation process of team members resulting from mergers, acquisitions, and affiliations.
      • Proactively facilitate and manage change to foster team member and leadership acceptance and implementation of change.

      Other Related Functions

      • Stay abreast of professional development and advancement in the human resources industry and healthcare field.
      • Has frequent interface with Executives, Directors and Administrators of the organization.
      • Assist other Human Resources functions and the departments as needed.
      • Take Administrator-On-Call shifts.

      Qualifications

      Education Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • Master’s degree preferred.

      Licensure/Certification

      • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

      Experience Requirements

      • Ten (10) years of progressive Human Resources experience.
      • Seven (7) years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
      • Healthcare or service industry experience preferred.
      • The successful candidate will be a seasoned Human Resources generalist with significant exposure to a variety of human resources areas including, but not limited to, employee relations, organization development, recruitment, compensation, benefits, communications, planning and finance.
