What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review, analyze, manage, and make decisions on Life and Disability claims in accordance with policies and regulations
- Analyze medical, vocational, and financial information to adjudicate claims effectively and timely
- Communicate with clients regarding their claims, addressing medical conditions, policy provisions, and decisions
- Manage caseload while providing support and guidance to team members
- Serve as a resource for internal staff and external parties regarding claim issues and policy administration
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 6+ years of work experience
- Good analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients and professionals
- Must be able to work in a team environment and maintain confidentiality
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree with knowledge of legal and/or medical terminology
- Prior experience in Life and Disability claims
