What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive, document, and enter loss reports from customers via phone and email with accuracy and professionalism
- Serve as a first-line resource for external callers, routing inquiries appropriately
- Sort, scan, and distribute incoming claims-related mail and documents
- Review unassigned medical bills in the automated bill review system; request needed information
- Provide general administrative support to Claims Legal as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Administrative or office experience preferred
- Experience in property & casualty insurance or claims processing is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills and clear communication (written & verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in claims processing or a related role within the insurance industry
- Strong accountability and reliability in meeting commitments
- Ability to work with urgency and adapt to shifting priorities
- Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills
- Basic math and bookkeeping accuracy
