What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review individual policies to determine eligibility with high accuracy
- Communicate with internal departments, veterinarians, and clinic staff
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and contractual commitments
- Use PC-based programs to enter data into the claims system and organize information
- Create and issue claim decisions to pet parents with correct spelling and grammar
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of recent clinical veterinary experience as a veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, or veterinarian
- Knowledge of veterinary terms, conditions, and medical procedures
- Ability to read and interpret medical diagnoses through medical records review
- Strong writing skills, including organization, spelling, grammar, and punctuation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with canine and feline breeds and their predispositions to illness
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Demonstrable Microsoft Office proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
