What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage lower-level, non-complex workers' compensation claims under the supervision of a senior claims professional
- Confirm policy coverage and acknowledge claims upon receipt
- Determine the validity and compensability of claims while establishing reserves and authorizing payments
- Communicate claim status effectively with customers, claimants, and clients
- Adhere to client and carrier guidelines, assisting with more complex claims as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience and claims management preferred
- State Certification as an Experienced Examiner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with claims management in the workers' compensation industry
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in using MS Office, including Excel spreadsheets
- Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities
- Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies
