What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee funds from state and federal Volkswagen settlements to support emission reduction programs
- Develop grant guidelines and manage the grant application process
- Provide technical assistance to grantees for compliance with cultural resource protection
- Collaborate with teams to create funding opportunities and manage grant implementation
- Prepare meeting materials and deliver presentations on project data and outcomes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of six years of experience in environmental work or related duties, including grant management
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in interpreting environmental regulations and technical documents
- Proven project management experience and ability to negotiate agreements
- Education in environmental sciences, physical sciences, or related fields
- Demonstrated competence in critical thinking and data analysis
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Tribal Governments
- Familiarity with air quality and transportation infrastructure planning
- Previous grant management experience with a focus on environmental issues
- Knowledge of environmental justice concepts and practices
