What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and documenting insurance coverage details
- Calculate estimated patient financial responsibilities based on benefit verification and payer contracts
- Initiate and follow up on prior authorization requests, including obtaining necessary clinical documents
- Communicate with patients, referral sources, and internal departments regarding referral status and updates
- Assist patients with enrollment in financial assistance programs as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement experience
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of CPR+ software
- Experience in prior authorization and benefits verification in an acute infusion setting
