What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and documenting coverage of medications and related services
- Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility based on benefit verification and payer contracts
- Initiate and secure prior authorization and medical review, including obtaining necessary clinical documents
- Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding the status of referrals and coverage updates
- Assist patients with enrollment in financial assistance programs when needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in home infusion acute pharmacy or medical intake/reimbursement
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with CPR+ software
- Experience with insurance prior authorization and benefits verification in home infusion
