What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with prescription refill requests according to physician-managed protocols
- Manage the prior-authorization process for medications requiring documentation of medical necessity
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure test results are communicated effectively
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to address questions and concerns
- Follow strict protocols to ensure timely medication refills for patients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- One (1) of the following: Certified Medical Assistant with medical back office experience or completion of a MA/Certified Medical Assistant program
- One (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledge of State and Federal (HIPAA) laws regarding patient confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with diverse populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics
- Strong clerical skills, including proficiency in word processing and office procedures
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
