What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform audit functions to assess CDI performance, identify knowledge gaps, and ensure compliance with all industry standards and departmental policies
- Oversee the auditing program to ensure accurate and compliant query practices
- Support coworkers in meeting CDI quality standards
- Analyze findings from reviews to identify trends that do not align with established policies and procedures, sharing findings with the CDI Education team for growth and development
- Act as a resource for CDI staff on clinical and coding issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field
- Minimum 7 years of Acute Care Nursing experience
- Minimum 3 years of Direct CDI Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification from the State Licensing Board
- CDI Certification from the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) required within 180 days
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with proficiency in Excel for CDI audits, tracking, and documentation
