      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and ensure the integrity of clinical documentation to support accurate code assignment and medical necessity.
      - Conduct concurrent reviews of selected patient records for clarity, completeness, and consistency.
      - Communicate discrepancies in documentation and coding to physicians for clarification.
      - Provide educational sessions to healthcare team members regarding documentation requirements.
      - Participate in performance improvement activities and staff meetings to promote professional growth.

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Education: Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing with five to ten years of acute care medical or surgical experience required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
      - Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio.
      - Minimum of 5 years of acute care medical or surgical experience required.
      - Experience in ICD-10 coding conventions and DRG methodology preferred.
      - Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentials will be considered in lieu of a RN.

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in Utilization/Case Management or managed care.
      - Extensive clinical knowledge and experience in clinical documentation.
