      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Facilitate improvements in the quality and completeness of clinical documentation
      - Analyze clinical information to identify documentation opportunities and assign working DRGs
      - Query physicians for clarification on documentation and ensure accurate coding
      - Participate actively in multi-disciplinary patient care teams to enhance documentation practices
      - Educate care team members on documentation guidelines and coding changes

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management and/or a coding certification (CCS)
      - Minimum of two (2) years of inpatient clinical coding experience or successful completion of competency assessment for inpatient coding at the employer
      - Proficiency with Encoder/Grouper technology and basic keyboarding skills
      - Successful completion of required education courses
      - CCS, CDIP, or CCDS certification required

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Familiarity with Concurrent Coding models is highly desirable
      - Experience in data collection and analysis for quality management efforts
