What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with trial start-up activities, including correspondence with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and ensuring documentation is complete
- Recruit, interview, and screen subjects for clinical trials, following them throughout the trial and follow-up period
- Collect and enter data from patient medical records and research subject charts into study databases
- Coordinate patient visits and procedures, including taking vital signs and processing lab specimens for shipment
- Resolve data queries and maintain data integrity while adhering to deadlines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Ability to perform job duties with or without accommodation
- Competence in data entry and maintaining data integrity
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Major in Math or Biostatistics, or a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another science
- Previous clinical and/or research experience is highly preferred
- Basic medical experience, including taking vital signs
- Experience with Epic Health Information System or internal electronic systems
- Certifications such as CCRP, CCRA, phlebotomy, or medical assistant certification are a plus
