What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with cloud solution design, implementation, and operations across DoD-approved cloud platforms
- Support system engineering activities related to cloud architecture, networking, security controls, and compliance documentation
- Contribute to RMF/NIST-based security controls mapping, risk assessments, and plan-of-action/milestones preparation
- Maintain and update runbooks, standard operating procedures, and engineering diagrams for cloud and on-premises components
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members and assist with knowledge transfer activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 10 years of specialized IT experience (entry-level to early-career); applicable intern/co-op experience in cloud or IT environments is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is strongly preferred for progression into more advanced responsibilities
- Demonstrated interest or foundational knowledge in cloud platforms and security concepts
- ISC² Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or equivalent foundational cloud security certification
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., CompTIA IAT II, or approved DoD 8570 baseline)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Google Cloud certifications: Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) or Professional Cloud Architect (PCA)
- AWS certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect - Associate, Professional, etc.)
- Azure certifications (Administrator, Architect, or Security certifications)
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Cloud Ops certification or equivalent
