What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, implement, and maintain CMDB data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency
- Oversee the population, maintenance, and ongoing updates of the CMDB
- Identify and implement improvements to CMDB processes and workflows
- Develop and maintain CMDB reports and dashboards to track data quality and usage
- Collaborate with IT teams to understand their CMDB data needs and provide training and support
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- 10+ years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree in applicable field may substitute for 5 years of experience)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT service management, focusing on configuration management and CMDB administration
- Proven experience with CMDB tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Helix, Micro Focus Universal CMDB)
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage, databases)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with IT automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
- Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL
- Familiarity with cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for data quality
- Continuous learner with a desire to stay up-to-date on the latest IT service management trends
