      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and analyze documentation in medical records for inpatient, outpatient, and professional services to assign appropriate diagnoses and procedure codes
      - Collaborate with clinical co-workers on facility and professional coding and charging responsibilities
      - Adhere to the Standards of Ethical Coding set forth by the American Health Information Management Association
      - Maintain compliance with official coding guidelines
      - Utilize advanced knowledge of coding systems and methodologies to ensure accurate charge coding

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - A.S. from an accredited Nursing or Health Information Management program or related healthcare discipline, or equivalent clinical experience
      - Minimum of 6 years of coding and/or charging experience in ICD-10-CM/PCS and/or HCPCS/CPT coding in acute care or professional services
      - Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CPC-H, or CIRCC; one of these certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment if charge/clinical experience is met
      - Significant working knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS and/or CPT/HCPCS coding classification systems and facility department charging
      - Excellent written and oral communication skills, flexibility, and ability to multi-task

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - B.S. from an accredited Nursing or Health Information Management program or related healthcare discipline
      - 8 or more years of recent clinical, coding/charging, or consulting experience in an inpatient/outpatient acute care hospital setting or professional services
      - Familiarity with 3M encoder and Epic system
