      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform coding and related duties using established billing office policies accurately and timely
      - Assign or verify CPT, ICD-10 CM coding, and modifiers based on documentation
      - Monitor charge flow and act as a liaison with managers and billing personnel to ensure accurate billing
      - Identify, report, and resolve coding and reimbursement issues, working with physicians and billing staff
      - Maintain understanding of Teaching Physician and provider documentation policies, participating in new provider orientations

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma
      - Minimum 2 years of experience in coding and billing
      - Required certification: Coding certification (CPC, CCS-P) and/or Health Information Management credential (RHIT, RHIA)
      - Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 CM coding and medical insurance guidelines
      - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team and department staff

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with charge processing and claim denials
      - Familiarity with electronic billing systems
      - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
      - Ability to meet or exceed established production rates and performance standards
      - Progressive computer skills
