      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Analyze medical record documentation to determine appropriate coding as per guidelines
      - Abstract and enter codes and demographic information into the employer's computer system
      - Assist in resolving incomplete or missing chart documentation for efficient billing
      - Participate in documentation training and quality assurance efforts
      - Maintain communication with coding and billing personnel to enhance operational efficiency

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School education plus medical coding certification
      - Minimum of three years of medical abstraction and coding experience or related work
      - Knowledge of ICD-CM (current edition) and CPT, HCPCS coding systems
      - Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
      - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating professionalism

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Training in medical terminology from an accredited program such as AHIMA, NHA, or AAPC
