What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate and participate in coding of medical information from complex records, ensuring adherence to coding procedures
- Perform concurrent audits of coding data and communicate discrepancies to physicians
- Review claim denials and troubleshoot for resolution to prevent future issues
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policy
- Participate in audit, education, and coding team meetings to discuss solutions and improvements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) designation required
- Minimum of three years of related experience and/or training in medical coding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Strong communication skills to interpret and convey technical instructions
