What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform portfolio quality reviews in Commercial Niches and Programs to ensure compliance and accuracy in policy issuance
- Complete executive summaries and various reports for underwriting management, including presentations with senior leaders
- Collaborate with management to identify inefficiencies and recommend training opportunities to improve performance
- Provide guidance to underwriters on processes, procedures, risk selection, and underwriting guidelines
- Participate in commercial underwriting/project initiatives as a quality assurance subject matter expert
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of commercial underwriting experience or strong technical experience in an underwriting role
- At least two (2) years of experience as a UW Quality Assurance Associate or equivalent strong technical experience in an auditing role
- Underwriting experience in Non-Profit Human Services and/or Programs is highly desirable
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Insurance Institute of America (IIA), or other related industry designation is preferred
