What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead policy development and regulatory analysis for commercial Earth observation activities
- Support satellite licensing and compliance processes, advising leadership on strategic regulatory issues
- Coordinate interagency and international engagements related to remote sensing
- Translate technical capabilities into actionable policy guidance and improve operational processes
- Conduct impact assessments of emerging technologies on regulatory frameworks
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience in drafting and revising policies for commercial remote sensing activities
- 3+ years of experience in space policy, regulatory affairs, or licensing and compliance
- 3+ years of experience in developing Concept of Operations for commercial remote sensing
- 3+ years of experience reviewing license applications for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Public Policy

- Experience coordinating across multiple organizations and managing complex projects
- Strong writing and briefing skills for communicating with executive audiences
