      (Sub)department: Commodity Price Risk Management (CPRM)

      Job purpose: Manage the cover strategy and reporting for the Heineken commodity agriculture portfolio

      Reports to: Commodity Risk Management Director

      Direct Reports: None

      Roles & responsibilities

      1. Responsibility (scope): Set the strategy to manage commodity price risk across the agriculture portfolio with the use of own title hedging derivatives and supplier fixations.

      2. Responsibility (nature of work): Analyse financial markets using fundamental and technical analysis to make hedging decisions staying within policy limits.

      3. Responsibility (budget): Manages an annual global commodity spend of €900m across barley, corn and sugar markets.

      4. Responsibility (Position management and influencer reporting): Execute all trades (physical and financial) with suppliers and banks. Report on YoY price moves with accuracy for key reporting periods during the year (SP/ AP/ ICG).

      5. Role (reporting): Own month end reporting MTM (Mark to Market) valuations and hedge accounting documentation. Ensure adherence of all commodity positions according to Commodity Price Risk Policy.

      6. Role (communication): Take ownership of all aspects of communication from the CPRM function. This includes the quarterly Podcast, weekly communications and quarterly financial markets assessment.

      Experience & profile (what & how)

      What:

      • Education: University Degree in a business, financial, commercial, economic or technical discipline

      • Work experience: 5 - 10 years in commodities.

      • Required work experience in field of expertise: Experience in commodity risk management in either and FMCG or trading environment.

      • Other fields of expertise: Supply chain knowledge of converting a raw material into a value-added product.

      • Functional skills: Experience with IT systems, Microsoft Office, knowledge of industry trends

      • Languages: Fluent English required – additional European languages an advantage
