What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare, edit, and design print materials such as publications, brochures, and signs
- Coordinate internal and external communications, including community outreach events
- Draft and edit content for news releases, newsletters, and presentations
- Create and optimize web content to maintain accurate department information
- Develop public engagement surveys, analyze data, and report findings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree or 2 Years of College in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience in public relations, communications, graphic design, or related field
- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire
- Knowledge of communications and outreach strategies
- Proficiency in modern office practices and software applications relevant to the position
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in project management and public speaking
- Familiarity with survey collection and analysis
- Strong skills in print and presentation design
- Experience with website editing and content management
- Previous involvement in community engagement initiatives
