  Fujitsu is looking for a Communications Lead to join our global PR team and drive our external communication efforts mainly in Finland. You will report to Head of International PR (based in the UK) and have a dotted line to Head of Communications and Sustainability (based in Finland).

  Role and Responsibilities

  • Leading our thought leadership activities in Finland: inspiring, supporting and training our local spokespersons for media interviews, speaking engagements and leveraging social media

  • Generating new content ideas through proactive media monitoring and personal networking as well as leveraging Fujitsu’s global content mainly for the Finnish market

  • Hands-on creating media pitches, press releases, blog posts and social media content

  • Organizing media events and press meetings as well as handling media inquiries

  • Managing reputational issues and crisis communication

  • Supporting sustainability communication and reporting

  • Analyzing and improving performance in Finland and reporting results to the global team as well as the local management

  • Managing cooperation with our local PR agency

  • Collaborating closely with Internal Communications to ensure alignment on messaging and campaigns, demonstrating a solid understanding of internal communications principles and priorities

  Qualifications

  To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Extensive experience in communications and working with the media, preferably in the tech sector, and existing relationships with Finnish business and technology journalists

  • Excellent written, verbal and visual communications skills (Finnish and English)

  • A proactive, curious and creative mindset – you don’t wait for things to happen, you are driving initiatives that lead to increasing visibility

  • Excellent relationship-building abilities: you are a great networker internally and externally as well as active on social media

  • Ability, experience and enthusiasm to widely leverage AI and technology in PR work (e.g. different AI tools, Meltwater, Salesforce)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time and attention to detail

  • Internal communication capability, which enables the promotion of an integrated communication strategy through close collaboration with Internal Communications

  • Preferably a background working in a large, multinational company.

  This position is full-time and permanent with a monthly salary ranging from 4,000-6,000 euros based on your experience. At Fujitsu we offer flexible remote working possibilities. However, for this position, it is preferred that you will work in our newly renovated Helsinki office (Valimotie 16) at least 1-2 days a week to better capture tacit information and build stronger connections with colleagues and customers.
