      Job Responsibilities

      • Oversee media relations in the United States, ensuring alignment with global communication strategies.
      • Build and maintain relationships with key US media across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
      • Develop and execute publicity campaigns for book releases and special projects, including feature stories, reviews, and brand narratives.
      • Coordinate press interviews and speaking engagements for artists, executives, and talent based in the US.
      • Collaborate with Global Communications Director to develop global release strategies and ensure cohesive communication efforts.
      • Research and identify creative promotional opportunities for TASCHEN books, partnerships, and special projects in the US market.
      • Organize and execute US-based press events, including book launches, artist talks, and brand activations.
      • Oversee the creation and dissemination of press materials, including press releases, pitches, and media kits.
      • Support the development of internal and external publicity reports and ensure accuracy.
      • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and digital marketing teams to effectively integrate communication strategies.
      • Manage administrative tasks related to US communications activities.
      • Quarterly travel to key US press markets, including New York, to fortify media, partnerships, and talent network.


      Your Profile

      • Interest in and knowledge of art, photography, architecture, design, fashion, and pop culture – the foundations of TASCHEN's publishing program.
      • Minimum of 6 years' experience in media relations, public relations, or a related field, ideally within the art, luxury, lifestyle, or publishing sectors.
      • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
      • An existing US media network across art, culture, fashion, and lifestyle, as well as a working network of brand partners.
      • Excellent editing, proofreading, and copywriting skills in English.
      • Meticulous attention to detail, creative, and resourceful.
      • Experience in event planning and project management.
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database systems, and familiarity with design tools like Photoshop or Adobe Acrobat.
      • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
      • Team player with a proactive, flexible, and problem-solving approach.


      We Offer

      This is a Full Time position, based in our office in LA. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 excluding bonuses and other benefits. This is a good faith estimate based on the expectations as laid out in the job description. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, life insurance, 401k plan, and yearly performance reviews.
