      POSITION OVERVIEW:
      The Community Engagement Support Associate will aid Hudson Guild in its mission by
      supporting outreach, engagement, event and direct program execution that fosters stronger
      relationships with and direct support to community members. This role helps the department
      deliver a vibrant seasonal program (e.g., holiday events and initiatives and neighborhood
      hardship support), supports inclusive engagement practices, and implements one-on-one direct
      support to community members who are seeking support and/or participating in programs and
      events.


      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
      High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in community
      development, social sciences, public administration, or a related field preferred. Experience
      (paid or volunteer) in a direct role helping individuals and/or families, event support, community
      outreach, or program implementation strongly preferred. Non-profit sector experience is a plus.
      Bi-Lingual (Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese Strongly Preferred). Strong attention to
      detail. Service oriented, punctual, and competent with technology.


      RESPONSIBILITIES:
      ● Schedule and conduct appointments with community members to help them apply for
      emergency hardship assistance following all organizational protocol.
      ● Accurately track all interactions in Excel or in the software requested by supervisor
      ● Provide daily reports to supervisors related to meetings and work performed
      ● Regularly help with translation as needed for appointments, events, and daily program
      operations.
      ● Assist in planning, coordinating and implementation of several community events and
      other seasonal programming including all logistics for events: registration, greeting
      participants, answering questions, check-in, facilitating parts of the event as needed,
      aiding volunteers as needed, set-up/break down, preparing materials, signage,
      photography
      ● Conduct outreach to local-residents, partner organizations, businesses, and community
      groups to promote programs, solicit participation and support relationship development
      as needed.
      ● Collect data: track attendance/participation, solicit feedback, assist in preparing
      summary reports or dashboards on engagement outcomes.
      ● Coordinate with internal departments (communications/marketing, operations, volunteer
      services) and external partners (CBOs, vendors, sponsors) as needed to ensure smooth
      execution of programs.
      ● Provide administrative support as needed.

      ● Ensure inclusive practices and accessibility in program and event delivery — being
      responsive to diverse community needs and backgrounds.
      ● Be flexible and responsive to changing program priorities, including extended hours,
      outdoor settings, or changing event formats.


      WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
      ● Full-time, seasonal role (ideally 11 am - 7 pm or 12 pm - 8pm) for November/December, with additional hours beyond December a possibility
      ● Some evening and weekend hours required.
      ● Work may occur indoors and outdoors; may involve standing for extended periods,
      transporting event materials (tables, chairs, signage) or walking through community
      spaces.
      ● The position may require travel to various community sites or partner locations.
