What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary liaison between community partners and schools in targeted neighborhoods
- Develop and implement a Plan for Increasing Diversity and Inclusion at the Junior Museum & Zoo
- Manage focus group activities to build relationships and identify barriers to community engagement
- Oversee the Summer Camp Scholarship Program, facilitating outreach and support for families
- Plan and attend targeted community affinity group events at the Junior Museum & Zoo
What is Required (Qualifications):
- At least two years of related experience in audience building with diverse communities
- A bachelor's degree
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office Suite programs and ability to learn new systems
- Strong written and oral communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Spanish language proficiency
- Experience with issues related to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion
- Familiarity with the local Peninsula community
- Experience conducting outreach through social media and community events
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team
