What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Plan, develop, and implement outreach strategies to enhance community engagement
- Create marketing and engagement materials across various platforms, including social media and print
- Facilitate public dialogues and engagement opportunities, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility
- Cultivate relationships with community leaders and organizations to expand engagement efforts
- Organize and promote City engagement opportunities through effective information-sharing tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
- Two years of experience in a public relations field, such as marketing or community engagement
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms
- Demonstrated skills in event coordination and managing multiple priorities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a closely related field
- At least two years of professional experience in community engagement or public affairs
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite applications and social media platforms
- Familiarity with municipal government procedures and regulations
- Ability to analyze complex situations and develop innovative solutions
