What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare, maintain, and analyze job descriptions for various positions within the organization
- Conduct interviews and surveys to gather job-related information from employees and managers
- Assess job duties to recommend FLSA classifications and appropriate salary ranges
- Monitor market compensation trends to ensure competitive compensation programs
- Assist with compliance to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five years of job-related experience and/or training
- Strong knowledge of FLSA, state wage and hour laws, and compensation best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Human Resources
- Five or more years of experience in employee Compensation and Benefits
- Strong working knowledge of government office operations
- Experience working effectively with diverse backgrounds
- Generalized HR knowledge
