Job summary
As a senior leader within our NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) team, the role of the Clinical Assessor Manager (RMN) is pivotal in ensuring that clinical assessments and healthcare management are executed with the highest standards of professionalism and care. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, deep clinical expertise, and a proactive approach to healthcare delivery, ensuring patient care is personalised, effective, and seamlessly integrated with broader healthcare objectives
Main duties of the job
To lead and line manage all the Nurse Assessors (Band 6) by providing guidance in applying the Continuing Healthcare eligibility criteria to individuals' healthcare needs to reach a decision with regards to eligibility for fully funded Continuing Health Care and NHS Funded Care.
To carry out verification and Quality Assurance of all DSTs and Review Assessments as one of the primary assignments for the role.
To provide all needed support with regards to S117 clients which is currently under the management and supervision of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT).
To liaise with the ICB DOLs Team to provide the team with any required clinical information as may be required and provide update to the Clinical Commissioning Manager of the progress.
To undertake Band 7 duties, to meet the assessed needs of patients who receive NHS Continuing Care funding, communicating, and working in partnership with other stake holders.
To co-ordinate and ensure timely and effective dispute process. To Lead in Level 1 dispute and if not resolved, this will be escalated to Level 2 dispute where the Clinical Commissioning Manager will take over at this stage.

Education and Compliance: Ensure all team members are up-to-date with mandatory training and personal development plans. Lead educational initiatives that keep the team informed of the latest clinical practices and compliance requirements.
